MAIN JOB PURPOSE
The role is responsible for aligning procurement resources and leveraging the supplier network within the geographical area to deliver on supply chain and Multi Country/Cluster Organization MCO targets.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Procurement contact and business partner to a specific set of countries / MCO's.
Supplier Relationship Management focused on service, quality, logistics and delivery for materials
Responsible for the integration of supplier’s capabilities, logistics, and service requirements of Unilever manufacturing sites.
Execution of Innovation Projects and Management of Promotions.
Translation of price trends into local conditions (tariffs, taxes, logistics, etc).
Communication of price trend in its totality to the local Finance team as an input to the business plan
Development of contingency plans and alternatives to ensure supply security for the MCO
Drive and support the implementation of VIP savings and creditor terms for the specific set of countries/MCO's
Drive R&P opportunities in alignment with the supply chain and MCO business strategy
Efficient, timely and transparent communication to internal customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the MCO supply network
Execute global/regional programs in the MCO
Align procurement programs to deliver on MCO requirements
Manage local procurement resources

REQUIRED JOB EXPERIENCE

ECONOMIC ASSISTANT, FSN-07/FP-07

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

Incumbent assists with the activities of the Economic Section Locally Employed Staff (LES) Unit. Responsibilities include economic analysis, daily press reviews, building contacts with Nigerian economic officers, drafting analytical cables, preparation of standardized economic reports and supporting USG visitors. This position reports directly to the Deputy Economic Counselor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

A University degree in Economics or Business Administration.
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in economic analysis is required.
Level IV (fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing in English is required.
Level III (good working knowledge) Speaking in at least one Nigerian local language is required.
Knowledge of Nigeria’s political, economic, social structure and economic concepts and methods is required.
Demonstrated analytical skills on developing, analyzing and presenting economic subjects in reporting and briefings, including statistics and interrelated economic developments is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to draft memoranda, cables, letters and reports.

SELECTION PROCESS

OLABISI ONABANJO UNIVERSITY JOB VACANCIES



Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye (formerly Ogun State University) was established in 1982 by the Ogun State Government as an autonomous public institution with the sole purpose of providing higher education in the Humanities, Science, Technology and Medicine and encouraging the advancement of learning in all spheres of human endeavours. In its thirty years of existence, the University has imparted positively on the society and continued to pursue its vision of being a world class University in the 21st Century with prominence in the areas of teaching, learning, research and local international, linkages with other educational institutions.

The University from an enrolment figure of 500 from inception, Olabisi Onabanjo University as at 2012/2013 academic session has a total student enrolment figure of 15,000 regular and 4000 part-time students. Also, the University which took off on a staff strength of 100 members has grown to have a staff profile of 1435 comprising 525 academic staff, 303 senior non-teaching staff and 71 senior technical staff and 482 junior staff.

In line with the relevant provision establishing the University, the Governing Council has authorized the commencement of the processes for the appointment of a new Registrar for the University. THE POSITION AND DUTIES
The Registrar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, who will be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University except for financial matters, which fall within the purview of the Bursar. The Registrar is also the Secretary to the Governing Council, Senate, Convocation and other statutory bodies as defined by the University laws. He/she shall also perform all other duties assigned to him/her by the Council and/or the Vice-Chancellor from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate must possess a good honours degree and a Master degree and at least fifteen years post-qualification experience, out of which a minimum of five(5) years must have been spent in a position not less than Deputy Registrar in a state/federal University.

CONDITION OF SERVICE
The appointment is for a single term of five(5) years only, while salary and other conditions of service shall be as approved by the Governing Council but comparable to those applicable to the post of Registrar of other public universities in Nigeria.

The person who will be Registrar, given the complexity and scientific nature of the administrative processes of 21st century University, must not only be a goal-getter, but must also be able to show drive, exceptional initiative, great ability for institutional networking with the outside world and must have a suave mien that typifies a 21st century world class university.
